When I first became vegan (in 1991), one of my greatest frustrations was trying recipes that didn’t turn out.

I’m a flavor junkie, and it was really hard to stick with my new way of eating at first, because I felt flavor-deprived. I vowed then and there that someday I’d create a cookbook that people could trust—one where every recipe turned out perfectly and deliciously, even for people who “didn’t like to cook.”
