Day Two: A Random Assortment of Hugs

This week, I wanted to give you a virtual hug on my site each day, as part of my commitment towards a positive ripple effect of LOVE and KINDNESS. We can always use more of that in our world, and now more than ever. If you missed it, be sure to check out "7 Ways to Create a Positive Path Forward After the Election." Yesterday, it was a new recipe for Rosemary Truffle Fries, and today, it's a random assortment of feel-good stuff. And as I mentioned, for this week of posts, if you don't feel better after reading one, let me know and I'll give you a free e-book

OK, on with the hugs!!

I'm going to pick out a few of my favorite positive messages and say some stuff about them. Cool? Here we go . . .

Always remember this. And it really is always the darkest before the dawn. Life is good. Don't lose faith in that!

Like I mentioned in my "7 Ways" article, step one is to honor where you're at. Feel your feelings. It's OK to cry, be angry, whatever. Part of the healing process is to FEEL your feelings and be oh-so-super kind to yourself.

Sometimes we get so stuck in what "is" that we forget it's temporary. We also forget how much flipping POWER we have!!! Don't give in to fear. Don't give in to hopelessness. Feel your feelings, YES.

But then, lift and empower yourself. You are destined for fabulous, amazing, gorgeous things. Don't challenge me on this one. I'm right.

So, we get really focused on "problems" right? We allow fear to make us feel bad. We worry. But the truth is that right now, in this very moment, everything is OK. Problems and fear are not now-based. They are what happen when we project our thoughts into a moment that is not THIS moment. What if... what if??

Well, WHAT IF everything will be OK? WHAT IF your life will actually improve? WHAT IF your fears are just illusions, and not reality? WHAT IF life really is good, and things are happening for a reason we don't understand yet. Remember, sometimes the most beautiful things come from the toughest places. The lotus can't grow without mud. One day over the next week, I'll be sharing how my darkest times gave me my greatest gifts.

So, that's it for today. I have my daughter and her BFF downstairs awaiting some food (scoundrels, the both of them) so I'm making today a short one. But please pass these hugs on if you find them helpful - and if you don't? Free e-book, baby.

xoxo
